The Messalonskee B & B Fun Run took place on June 6th. The walk or run race started at the Messalonskee High School and went onto the Messalonskee Trail. Lisa Ossenga PSS and Denise Stevens RN participated in the race. Denise placed third. The fun run was put on by the Marston family of Oakland in honor of Bert and Barbara Marston who contributed so much to the Oakland community. This year was the biggest turn out with sixty five participants.
Come join the 4th of July fun with Maine-ly Elder Care at the Winslow 4th of July Festivities. Winslow truly has the best parade in the state and puts on a spectacular day of festivities! With lots of food and entertainment it is sure to be a great time!! Maine-ly Elder Care’s float with have a beach theme this year! Hope to see you there!
Darlene Peters recently participated in the Paddle for Pine Tree Camp that took place on June 6th. Darlene paddled seven miles from Solon to North Anson. The paddle was to benefit Pine Tree Camp for children with disabilities. Way to go Darlene!!
Tina has quit the smoking habit! She has been a non smoker for 5 months now. She quit smoking on Jan. 16th and offers some good advice to people thinking about quitting or have recently quit. Tina states “Never Give Up! I have been trying to quit for eight years and finally this time I did it. Persistence prevails!” That is great advice! Congratulations Tina, we are all very proud of you! Keep up the good work!
